The Untapped Gold in the World of Physical Asset Management is…

(Video Transcript)

Hi everyone. I’m in the Bab el-Bahrain Souk in the Kingdom of Bahrain. And here, there are all kinds of different jewelry stores that have the most beautiful jewelry and the most beautiful gold.

And it reminds me about something very important when it comes to Physical Asset Management. In my opinion, in many organizations – some of the best untapped gold – are the people in our organizations. Specifically, Operators and Maintainers that work on our equipment on a day-to-day basis.

They are the people who, very often, know our equipment best. And…they offer a perspective that cannot be offered by anybody else.

So, if you’re embarking on any kind of an improvement activity, whether it’s Reliability Centered Maintenance or any other kind of an activity that requires a lot of information-gathering about your equipment, don’t forget to include the untapped gold in your organization. And that is, the Operator and the Maintainer.

I’m Nancy Regan, from the Kingdom of Bahrain. Thank you for watching!
